On the convolution inequality $f \geq f\star f$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We consider the inequality $f \geqslant f\star f$ for real integrable functions on $d$ dimensional Euclidean space where $f\star f$ denotes the convolution of $f$ with itself. We show that all such functions $f$ are non-negative, which is not the case for the same inequality in $L^p$ for any $1 < p \leqslant 2$, for which the convolution is defined. We

Synergy of cations in high entropy oxide lithium ion battery anode

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Though high entropy oxides have been explored as possible conversion-type negative electrodes for Li-ion batteries, the roles of the different elements remain unclear. Here the authors determine the behavior of each element during electrochemical cycling

Magnetic anisotropy of graphene quantum dots decorated with a ruthenium adatom

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2013
The creation of magnetic storage devices by decoration of a graphene sheet by magnetic transition-metal adatoms, utilizing the high in-plane versus out-of-plane magnetic anisotropy energy (MAE), has recently been proposed. This concept is extended in our

Fully integrated high quality factor GmC bandpass filter stage with highly linear operational transconductance amplifier [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2017
This paper presents an electrical, fully integrated, high quality (Q) factor GmC bandpass filter (BPF) stage for a wireless 27 MHz direct conversion receiver for a bendable sensor system-in-foil (Briem et al., 2016).

Erratum to: An Entropy Functional for Riemann-Cartan Space-Times [PDF]

open access: yesInt J Theor Phys 51 (2012) 362-373; Erratum - Int J Theor Phys. 52 (2013) 4592-4593, 2012
We correct the entropy functional constructed in Int. J. Theor. Phys. 51:362 (2012). The 'on-shell' functional one obtains from this correct functional possesses a holographic structure without imposing any constraint on the spin-angular momentum tensor of matter, in contrast to the conclusion made in the above paper.

int-h: an int mutation of phage λ that enhances site-specific recombination [PDF]

open access: yesCell, 1980
Abstract The mutation int -h3 maps in the int gene of coliphage λ and results in the synthesis of an integrase with enhanced activity, which is manifested by an ability to support λ site-specific recombination relatively efficiently under conditions where the wild-type integrase functions inefficiently. The level of site-specific recombination seen

Developing an integrated model of community-based palliative care into the primary health care (PHC) for terminally ill cancer patients in Iran

open access: yesBMC Palliative Care, 2021
Background Patients with cancer commonly experience pain and suffering at the end of life days. Community-based palliative care can improve the quality of life of terminally-ill cancer patients and provide them with a merciful death.

EXAFS and electrical studies of new narrow-gap semiconductors: InTe$_{1-x}$Se$_x$ and In$_{1-x}$Ga$_x$Te [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Phys. Chem. Solids 61, 2007 (2000), 2018
The local environment of Ga, Se, and Tl atoms in InTe-based solid solutions was studied by EXAFS technique. It was shown that all investigated atoms are substitutional impurities, which enter the In(1), Te, and In(2) positions in the InTe structure, respectively.

Anisotropic fluids in the case of stationary and axisymmetric spaces of General Relativity [PDF]

open access: yesInt.J.Mod.Phys. D10 (2001) 869-880, 2001
We present a stationary axisymmetric solution belonging to Carter's family [A] of spaces and representing an anisotropic fluid configuration.
