In‐Situ EPR Study of the Effect of SO2 Poisoning and Regeneration of Cu‐CHA Catalysts
In‐situ electron paramagnetic resonance highlights and quantifies the changes in the redox properties of copper chabazite catalysts for the SCR reaction after poisoning with SO2 and after regeneration at high temperature. Abstract A series of copper (Cu) exchanged chabazite zeolite with different Cu content were investigated to elucidate the effect of ...

Iridium‐Doped Monoclinic Zirconia as a Catalyst for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction
Using density functional theory, we study Ir‐dopings of the monoclinic ZrO2${\rm ZrO}_2$ (1¯11$\bar{1}11$) surface in search of an Ir‐lean catalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction. These are found to be metastable compared to the separate phases of IrO2${\rm IrO}_2$ and ZrO2${\rm ZrO}_2$.

The effect of discontinuous injection on particle backflow in pneumatic conveying systems
Abstract Pneumatic conveying is used in many process industries to transport dry, granular, and powdered solids. The triboelectrification of particles during conveying causes particle agglomeration, spark discharges, and disruptions in particle flow, making particles move upstream against the fluid flow. The effect of frequency of particle injection on

A systematic approach for identifying drivers of critical safety and establishing their hierarchy
Abstract Learning from incidents is a crucial step in preventing and mitigating adverse events. Incident databases offer valuable insights for safety management improvements by cause and contributing factors. However, extracting meaningful information from incident investigation reports poses a significant challenge. This study introduces a data‐driven

Random discrete probability measures based on a negative binomial process
Abstract A distinctive functional of the Poisson point process is the negative binomial process for which the increments are not independent but are independent conditional on an underlying gamma variable. Using a new point process representation for the negative binomial process, we generalize the Poisson–Kingman distribution and its corresponding ...
