Integrated Microfluidic Systems
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2003Microchips: Multistep reactions may be catalyzed by enzymes immobilized on microbeads trapped inside microfluidic channels. Large integrated microfluidic circuits can be created by using multilayer soft lithography in poly(dimethylsiloxane). These circuits (see schematic representation) can be used to perform hundreds of different reactions ...

Microfluidic chip platforms for manipulating liquid volumes in the nanoliter range are slowly inching their way into mainstream genomic and proteomic research. The principal challenge faced by these technologies is the need for high-throughput processing of increasingly smaller volumes, with ever higher degrees of parallelization.

On completely integrable systems
Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 1995The author recalls some fundamental concepts from the theory of differential equations on jet bundles of a fibred manifold. Then the familiar Frobenius theorem is reformulated accordingly to obtain the existence result for completely integrable systems of differential equations of arbitrary order.

Integrated Microfluidic Systems
2010Using unique physical phenomena at the microscale, such as laminar flow, mixing by diffusion, relative increase of the efficiency of heat exchange, surface tension and friction due to the increase of surface-to-volume ratio by downscaling, research in the field of microfluidic devices, aims at miniaturization of (bio)chemical apparatus for high ...
