Wave propagation in the Kolmogorov–Petrovskii–Piskunov–Fischer equation with time delay and spatial deviation

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
For the logistic equation with diffusion two generalizations are considered: one with time delay and the other with deviation in the spatial variable. For these equations, the problem of density wave propagation is considered.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Darboux transformation with dihedral reduction group [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We construct the Darboux transformation with Dihedral reduction group for the 2-dimensional generalisation of the periodic Volterra lattice. The resulting Bäcklund transformation can be viewed as a nonevolutionary integrable differential difference ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

On the Classification of Automorphic Lie Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The problem of reduction of integrable equations can be formulated in a uniform way using the theory of invariants. This provides a powerful tool of analysis and it opens the road to new applications of Automorphic Lie Algebras, beyond the context of ...

Study of self-oscillations of a distributed rotor from a material with hereditarily elastic properties

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
Self-oscillatory solutions of dynamic equations of transverse vibrations of a distributed rotating ideally balanced rotor (shaft) on an isotropic support made of a material with nonlinear hereditary properties are studied.

The integral system.

open access: yesCentral European journal of urology, 2011
The Integral System is a total care management system based on the Integral Theory which states 'prolapse and symptoms of urinary stress, urge, abnormal bowel & bladder emptying, and some forms of pelvic pain, mainly arise, for different reasons, from laxity in the vagina or its supporting ligaments, a result of altered connective tissue'.The organs ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Two-cluster synchronization in a fully coupled network of Mackey–Glass generators

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
We study a fully connected network of Mackey–Glass generators, each described by the Mackey–Glass delay differential equation. This system can exhibit non-trivial behaviour over time.

INTEGRABLE SYSTEMS WITH IMPURITY [PDF]

open access: yesLie Theory and Its Applications in Physics V, 2004
After reviewing some basic properties of RT algebras, which appear to be the natural framework to deal with integrable systems in presence of an impurity, we show how any integrable system (including these possessing translation invariance) can be promoted to an integrable system with an impurity which can reflect and transmit particles.
