Preliminary results obtained from short term test-loading are used to illustrate possibilities of FEM used to calibrate complex interaction characteristics between a pile and soil in a bridge with integral abutments. The measurements are obtained during the winter season on the bridge over Leduån, in Northern Sweden.

Analysis of numerical models of an integral bridge resting on an elastic half-space

The paper presents three methods of the numerical modeling of a 60 m long integral bridge structure resting on an elastic half-space. For the analysis, three bridge models were built using Abaqus FEA software.
