Three‐Dimensional Analytical Model of a Free‐Standing Square Rocking Column
ABSTRACT A three‐dimensional analytical two‐degree‐of‐freedom (2DOF) model is developed to describe the bounded rocking response of free‐standing rigid square columns subjected to bidirectional seismic excitation. The formulation extends Housner's classical planar theory by deriving the full three‐dimensional equations of motion for a column ...

This multicenter retrospective study evaluated implant survival and peri‐implant health in adults with non‐syndromic intellectual disability. Among 453 implants with long‐term follow‐up, survival exceeded 92%, with tissue‐level implants and cement‐retained restorations associated with healthier peri‐implant conditions. These findings support the use of

The behavior and design of piles for integral abutment bridges
Integral abutment bridges have been used in the United States for decades. By eliminating expensive expansion joints, the piles supporting the end bent accommodate the total thermal movement of the bridge.

Geo-structural Analysis of Integral Abutment Bridges [PDF]
Integral abutment bridges are jointless bridges where bridge decks and girders are integrated with abutments. The longitudinal displacements and rotations of the bridge are partially accommodated by the soil-pile system wherein the soil surrounding the piles generates active and reactive lateral forces when the piles deflect due to the movement of the ...

Treatments of unesthetic amalgam tattoo: A literature review and a case report
Abstract Background An amalgam tattoo is an iatrogenic lesion that can lead to esthetic concerns. This paper presents a literature review aimed at exploring treatment options available to clinicians for addressing this unesthetic issue. Methods The initial search identified 209 potentially relevant publications.

Abstract Background The interforaminal space is frequently used for dental implant placement due to its strategic location between the bilateral mental foramina. However, neurosensory disturbances following surgical intervention near the mental foramen (MF) can occur in up to 43% of cases.

Integral bridge abutment and backfill behaviour
Integral bridges do not contain the bearings or expansion joints found in conventional bridges. Interaction between the abutments and backfill due to thermal movements of the bridge deck leads to the accumulation of soil strain — known as strain ratcheting — which results in increased lateral earth pressures along with settlement at the bridge approach.

Structure‐guided missense mutations in the C. elegans AGE‐1/PI3Kinase catalytic subunit and its LET‐60/Ras‐binding interface reveal separable signaling outputs from the Ras‐bound PI3K complex. Enhanced canonical catalytic activity, conferred by a gain‐of‐function mutation modeled on oncogenic human p110⍺ PI3K variants, promotes aging, reproductive ...

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate long‐term crestal bone level changes (ΔCBL) and prevalence of peri‐implant conditions according to the type of implant‐supported fixed dental prosthesis (IFDP), and to identify implant‐, prosthetic‐, and patient‐related factors associated with ΔCBL.

SEISMIC ANALYSIS OF INTEGRAL ABUTMENT BRIDGES CONSIDERING SOIL STRUCTURE INTERACTION
Integral abutment bridges are jointless bridges in which the deck is continuous and connected monolithically with the abutment walls supported typically by a single row of piles.
