Nonlocal boundary value problems with BV-type data

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2020
In this paper we present some existence and uniqueness results for solutions of second order boundary value problems, which are functions of bounded variation along with their derivatives.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

On existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for integral boundary boundary value problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2010
By applying the monotone iterative technique, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of $C^1[0,1]$ positive solutions in some set for singular boundary value problems of second order ordinary differential equations with integral boundary conditions.

On the Kleinman-Martin integral equation method for electromagnetic scattering by a dielectric body

open access: yes, 2011
The interface problem describing the scattering of time-harmonic electromagnetic waves by a dielectric body is often formulated as a pair of coupled boundary integral equations for the electric and magnetic current densities on the interface $\Gamma$. In

Boundary value problems for fractional differential inclusions with four-point integral boundary conditions [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2011
In this paper, we discuss the existence of solutions for a boundary value problem of second order fractional differential inclusions with four-point integral boundary conditions involving convex and non-convex multivalued maps.

Well-posed problems for the fractional Laplace equation with integral boundary conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In this remark we study the boundary-value problems for a fractional analogue of the Laplace equation with integral boundary conditions in rectangular and half-strip domains.

Down‐regulation of Shh in the hair follicles of mice during chemotherapy‐induced hair loss is mediated by the JAK/STAT1 signaling pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Diffusion Tractography Biomarker for Epilepsy Severity in Children With Drug‐Resistant Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To develop a novel deep‐learning model of clinical DWI tractography that can accurately predict the general assessment of epilepsy severity (GASE) in pediatric drug‐resistant epilepsy (DRE) and test if it can screen diverse neurocognitive impairments identified through neuropsychological assessments.

Positive solutions for systems of second-order integral boundary value problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2013
We investigate the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions of a system of second-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations, subject to integral boundary conditions.
