New Results About Some Chain Conditions in Serre Conjecture Rings
Let φ:T→T/I be the natural homomorphism, where I is a nonzero ideal of an integral domain T. We define R:=φ−1(D), where D is a subring of T/I. This paper aims to investigate the conditions under which the Serre conjecture ring R⟨m⟩ is a strong S-domain ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

On a Quotient Ring That Satisfies Certain Identities via Generalized Reverse Derivations
In this article, for a prime ideal ρ of an arbitrary ring ℜ, we study the commutativity of the quotient ring ℜ/ρ, whenever ℜ admits a generalized reverse derivation ϑ associated with a reverse derivation ∂ that satisfies certain identities in ρ ...

Integral Closures of Noetherian Integral Domains as Intersections [PDF]
Let \(A\) be a noetherian integral domain, \(\overline A\) its integral closure, and let \({\mathcal G}\) be the set of prime ideals \(P\) of \(A\) with height\((P) \leq 1\). The author provides three equivalent conditions for the equality \(\overline A = \bigcap \overline A_P\), \(P \in {\mathcal G}\). For instance, equality holds iff \(\bigcap A_P\),

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

On Prime Ideals in Rings Satisfying Certain Functional Identities
In this note, we will examine the relationship between a generalized derivation ϝ associated with a derivation ∂ that satisfies specific algebraic identities and the behavior of a factor ring S/P, where P is a prime ideal of any ring S.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Generalized (τ, σ)-L-Derivations in Rings
Let τ and σ:X⟶X be automorphisms of an arbitrary associative ring X, and let L be a prime ideal of X. The main objective of this article is to combine the notions of generalized L-derivations and (τ,σ)-L-derivations by introducing and analyzing a novel ...
