Modelling fraud detection by attack trees and Choquet integral [PDF]

open access: yes
Modelling an attack tree is basically a matter of associating a logical ÒndÓand a logical ÒrÓ but in most of real world applications related to fraud management the Ònd/orÓlogic is not adequate to effectively represent the relationship between a parent ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

The pyruvate generator is a common phenomenon in mitochondria from different rat and mouse brain regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The pyruvate generator, which causes activation of respiration by extra‐mitochondrial Ca2+, is also present and functional in rat brainstem mitochondria, as it is in other brain regions. This finding is confirmed by experiments with a fully reconstituted malate–aspartate shuttle (MAS).

Bipolarization of posets and natural interpolation [PDF]

open access: yes
The Choquet integral w.r.t. a capacity can be seen in the finite case as a parsimonious linear interpolator between vertices of $[0,1]^n$. We take this basic fact as a starting point to define the Choquet integral in a very general way, using the ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Multiperiodic solution of linear hyperbolic in the narrow sense system with constant coefficients

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2020
There is researched existential problem of a unique multiperiodic in all independent variables solution of a linear hyperbolic in the narrow sense system of differential equations with constant coefficients and its integral representation in vector ...

A New Algebra ic Approach to Representation Theorems for (Co)integrated Processes up to the Second Order [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper establishes a unified representation theorem for (co)integrated processes up to the second order which provides a compact and informative insight into the solution of VAR models with unit roots, and sheds light on the cointegration features of ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
