H ? filtering for stochastic singular fuzzy systems with time-varying delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper considers the H? filtering problem for stochastic singular fuzzy systems with timevarying delay. We assume that the state and measurement are corrupted by stochastic uncertain exogenous disturbance and that the system dynamic is modeled ...

Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Computation of Differential, Integral Operators and Quantitative Structure–Property Analysis of Boron α-Icosahedral Nanosheet

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In its crystalline state, the α-icosahedral nanosheet of boron demonstrates superconductivity and thermal electronic properties. Mathematical research on a graph’s structure yields a graph descriptor, a numerical measure.

VERTICES IN A SCALAR-GRAVITY SYSTEM IN THE TELEPARALLEL GRAVITY THEORY [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We consider a scalar field interacting gravitationally in teleparallel gravity theory. In this theory, the gravity is defined as a translational gauge field and thus gravita- tional interaction can be introduced through a minimal coupling prescription as

Local Descriptor Revision

open access: yes, 2017
In this chapter the properties of descriptor revision, as defined in Chapter 4, are further explored. Several alternative selection mechanisms are presented, and the properties of the resulting operations are investigated.

On computing minimal proper nullspace bases with applications in fault detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We discuss computationally efficient and numerically reliable algorithms to compute minimal proper nullspace bases of a rational or polynomial matrix.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Data-driven discovery of high-performance zinc-ion battery cathodes by a machine learning strategy integrating energy gradient and activation area ratio

open access: yesNano Research
The heteroatom doping is considered a promising strategy for enhancing the performance of the MnO2-based electrode materials for zinc-ion battery (ZIB).

HOLOGRAPHY FOR ROTATING BLACK HOLES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Holographic principle and its realization in string theory through AdS/CFT correspondence has given us a new way to study the theory of quantum gravity. Shortly, holography in this context is understood as a duality between a gravitational theory in D+1 ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
