Millimeter-Wave Integrated Circuits
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1968Monolithic millimeter-wave integrated circuits have been designed and fabricated on semi-insulating GaAs substrates using microstrip transmission lines. Circuits using hybrid techniques have also been constructed on quartz and ceramics. This paper shows that microstrip-line integrated circuits are feasible at millimeter-wave frequencies.

GaAs Integrated Microwave Circuits
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1968GaAs has many desirable features that make it most useful for microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits. The process of selective epitaxial depositions of high purity single-crystal GaAs with various doping concentrations into semi-insulating GaAs substrates has been developed.

The Linear Integrated Circuit (LIC) is, in widest terms, a large number of different circuit elements conveniently encapsulated into a small package to provide an output which is some linear function of the input. This does not preclude the possibility of some circuits realising simple boolean expressions.

Digital circuits form the great majority of integrated circuits manufactured today. There are many ranges available from various manufacturers and these tend to be classified by family type. They include Resistor Transistor Logic (RTL) of Fig.1, Transistor Transistor Logic (TTL) and Diode Transistor Logic (DTL) examples of which are shown in Figs.2 and

Integrated circuit design (II)
1999Low-order (first- and second-) ΣΔ modulation-based A/D converters [Agra83] [Cand85] [Inos62] [Leun88] [Plass78] are very interesting for mixedsignal applications due to their small analog circuitry content, robustness and easy implementation. The second-order architecture [Agra83] [Bose88b] [Cand85] is preferred to the simpler first-order one because ...

Examples of Optoelectronic Integrated Circuits
2000In this chapter the full variety of silicon receiver OEICs in digital and analog techniques will be introduced. Examples of optical receivers range from low-power synchronous digital circuits for massively parallel optical interconnects and three-dimensional optical storage to asynchronous Gb/s fiber receivers.
