Diamond-integrated optomechanical circuits [PDF]
Diamond offers unique material advantages for the realization of micro- and nanomechanical resonators due to its high Young's modulus, compatibility with harsh environments and superior thermal properties. At the same time, the wide electronic bandgap of 5.45eV makes diamond a suitable material for integrated optics because of broadband transparency ...

Integrated circuits for communications [Series editorial] [PDF]
In this issue of Integrated Circuits for Communications, we have selected two articles that mark recent progress in the communications semiconductor industry which is enabling digital implementation of communication systems on chip (SoCs). Prior to the late 1980s, communications circuits were mainly analog, and so were the corresponding systems that ...

Probabilistic Integral Circuits
Continuous latent variables (LVs) are a key ingredient of many generative models, as they allow modelling expressive mixtures with an uncountable number of components. In contrast, probabilistic circuits (PCs) are hierarchical discrete mixtures represented as computational graphs composed of input, sum and product units.

Exciton-polariton integrated circuits [PDF]
We show that logical signals encoded in bistable states in semiconductor microcavities can be generated and controlled electronically by exploiting the electrical sensitivity of Tamm-plasmon-exciton-polariton modes. The signals can be transported along polariton neurons, created with a patterned metal surface.

Integrated coherent matter wave circuits [PDF]
An integrated coherent matter wave circuit is a single device, analogous to an integrated optical circuit, in which coherent de Broglie waves are created and then launched into waveguides where they can be switched, divided, recombined, and detected as they propagate.

Sequential Circuits Synthesis for Rapid Single Flux Quantum Logic Based on Finite State Machine Decomposition [PDF]
Rapid Single Flux Quantum (RSFQ) logic is a promising technology to supersede Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) logic in some specialized areas due to providing ultra-fast and energy-efficient circuits. To realize a large-scale integration design, electronic design automation (EDA) tools specialized for RSFQ logic are required due to the ...
