Individuals with Multi‐Joint Osteoarthritis Demonstrate Larger Longitudinal Declines in Frailty: Data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging

Objective Test the hypothesis that multi‐joint osteoarthritis would modify the relation between time and frailty progression, where more affected joints would lead to larger declines over 6‐years compared to those without osteoarthritis using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.

Facial cosmetic therapy use amongst patients with systemic sclerosis: an Australian cohort study

Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is associated with numerous facial manifestations for which patients may engage in cosmetic therapies. It is unclear how patients with SSc use these therapies. This study sought to characterise patient engagement and experiences with cosmetic therapies for SSc‐related and non‐SSc‐related facial changes.

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.
