A soap‐film inspired strategy enables the fabrication of ultrathin yet robust GelMA‐PAAm membranes for breathing lung culture. The hydrogel membrane supports long‐term cyclic deformation under air‐liquid interface conditions, enabling physiologically relevant breathing motions of engineered lung tissue culture. ABSTRACT Breathing continuously stretches

Radionuclide neutron source trajectories in the closed nuclear fuel cycle
The highest efficiency in the usage of nuclear energy resources can be implemented in fast breeder reactors of generation IV. It is achieved thanks to the ability of consuming minor actinides (MAs) in energy production.

A circular upcycling strategy transforms waste poly(ethylene terephthalate) bottles into microwave‐responsive Ni@C catalyst featuring lattice‐distorted nickel cores and defective carbon shells. These strain‐rich heterointerfaces enhance dielectric loss and promote localized microwave hotspots, accelerating peroxymonosulfate activation and polymer‐chain

Flexible Wide Bandgap Electrode System for In situ Cell Sensing and Irreversible Electroporation
The paper reports the design and wafer‐level microfabrication of a long‐lived, flexible 3C‐SiC electrode capable of sensitive and in situ cell sensing, as well as electroporation ablation. The work demonstrates a biocompatible and durable electrode platform that can perform reliable electrical interfacing with biological tissues over extended periods ...

Redox‐Confined Interfacial Polymerization Enables Mechanically Robust and Self‐Adhesive Nanofilms
Redox‐confined polymerization of a simple thiol monomer at a water‐organic interface generates robust freestanding films with nanoscale thickness. The resulting disulfide‐crosslinked nanofilms combine high stiffness with intrinsic adhesion to soft substrates, enabling conformal contact with artificial skin without additional functionalization.

Current Drive operation in a In-blanket ICRF Ring Array
The currently predicted Current Drive (CD)efficiency in a tokamak reactor plasma is χCD ≤ 50 kA/MW for all auxiliary systems (NBCD, ICCD, ECCD). This would imply a relatively low reactor Q = Pelectric /Pauxiliary and an extremely high power density (>10 ...

We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...
