Modelling spatial hospital recruitment via integrated nested Laplace approximations

2011
We propose different spatial models to study hospital recruitment, including some potentially explicative variables. Data analysed concern the hospital recruitment of the Haute Alsace a region in the north-east of France. Spatial models can be employed to show current patterns of healthcare utilization and to monitor changes in primary care access ...

Spatial seismic point pattern analysis with Integrated Nested Laplace Approximation

2020
This paper proposes the use of Integrated Nested Laplace Approximation (Rue et al., 2009) to describe the spatial displacement of earthquake data. Specifying a hiechical structure of the data and parameters, an inhomogeneuos Log-Gaussian Cox Processes model is applied for describing seismic events occurred in Greece, an area of seismic hazard.

Analysis of Next Generation Sequencing Data Using Integrated Nested Laplace Approximation (INLA)

2014
Integrated Nested Laplace Approximation (INLA), implemented in the R-package r-inla, is a very versatile methodology for the Bayesian analysis of next generation sequencing count data: it can account for zero-inflation, random effects and correlation across genomic features.
