PERFORMANCE REPORT IN INTEGRATED REPORTING

open access: yes, 2019
The article proposes a special grouping of information about the modifications of the capital involved by the firm. The form of the performance report we designed is designed to provide stakeholders with information on market valuation of agro-industrial firms for their actual adherence to natural and ecological, social, industrial and industrial ...

The anabolic steroid stanozolol is a potent inhibitor of human MutT homolog 1

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
MutT homolog 1 (MTH1) is a member of the NUDIX superfamily of enzymes and is an anticancer drug target. We show that stanozolol (Stz), an anabolic steroid, is an unexpected nanomolar inhibitor of MTH1. The X‐ray crystal structure of the human MTH1–Stz complex reveals a unique binding scaffold that could be utilized for future inhibitor development ...

Financial Reporting for Environmental and Social responsibility: A Normative Strategic Concept [PDF]

open access: yes
Corporate responsibility demands that firms address environmental and social values in their firm’s policy and key performance indicators. These are integrated through strategic planning and require firms to merge the longer term environmental and social

Aβ42 promotes the aggregation of α‐synuclein splice isoforms via heterogeneous nucleation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The aggregation of amyloid‐β (Aβ) and α‐synuclein (αSyn) is associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. This study reveals that Aβ aggregates serve as potent nucleation sites for the aggregation of αSyn and its splice isoforms, shedding light on the intricate interplay between these two pathogenic proteins.

Thermostable neutral metalloprotease from Geobacillus sp. EA1 does not share thermolysin's preference for substrates with leucine at the P1′ position

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Knowing how proteases recognise preferred substrates facilitates matching proteases to applications. The S1′ pocket of protease EA1 directs cleavage to the N‐terminal side of hydrophobic residues, particularly leucine. The S1′ pocket of thermolysin differs from EA's at only one position (leucine in place of phenylalanine), which decreases cleavage ...

From the corporate social responsibility reporting to the integrated reporting: the case of Sabaf S.p.a [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In December 2013, the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) published the International Integrated Reporting Framework. The aim of the Framework is to provide the guiding principles and the content elements of an integrated report.

Redox‐dependent binding and conformational equilibria govern the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this work, we reveal how different enzyme binding configurations influence the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in live cells using time‐resolved anisotropy imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Mathematical modelling shows that the redox states of the NAD and NADP pools govern these configurations, shaping their fluorescence ...

Neutrophil deficiency increases T cell numbers at the site of tissue injury in mice

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In wild‐type mice, injury or acute inflammation induces neutrophil influx followed by macrophage accumulation. Mcl1ΔMyelo (neutrophil‐deficient) mice lack neutrophils, and in response to muscle injury show fewer macrophages and exhibit strikingly elevated T‐cell numbers, primarily non‐conventional “double‐negative” (DN) αβ and γδ T cells.
