Low-Latency Marine-Based OTFS Echo Parameter Estimation Enabled by AI

open access: yesSensors
We propose an end-to-end pipeline for Orthogonal Time–Frequency Space (OTFS) sensing that integrates deterministic signal processing with a Machine-Learning (ML) inference stage.

Programmable Anisotropic Terahertz Permittivity via High‐Aspect‐Ratio 3D‐Printed Dielectric Mesh Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed Terahertz (THz) anisotropic dielectric with programmable permittivity by varying infill density and creating high‐aspect‐ratio channels is presented. The proposed design was evaluated both experimentally, through THz time‐domain spectroscopy, and theoretically, through FDTD simulations and Effective Medium Theory analysis.

Tailoring Amine Substitution in Fluorene and Dibenzothiophene: A Molecular Strategy for Ultralong Organic Phosphorescence

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Tailored amine substitution in fluorene and dibenzothiophene derivatives enables systematic control of excited‐state properties and triplet population. Combined photophysical studies, TD‐DFT calculations and time‐resolved EPR reveal how charge‐transfer character, sulfur‐induced spin–orbit coupling and triplet manifold engineering cooperate to promote ...

Enhanced Operational Stability of Carbene‐Metal‐Amide Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes by Reducing Electron Accumulation on the Emitter

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Carbene‐metal‐amide (CMA) organic LEDs suffer from poor stability despite submicrosecond excited‐state lifetimes. Here, we show that electron accumulation on CMA emitters triggers bond cleavage, while poor electron transport amplifies OLED instability.

Cell-free Integrated Sensing and Communication

open access: yesFoundations and Trends® in Networking
Cell-free (CF) integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) merges the CF architecture with ISAC functionalities. CF-ISAC leverages distributed access points, removes cell boundaries, and enhances coverage, spectral efficiency, and reliability. It also improves energy efficiency, enabling robust multi-user communication, distributed multi-static sensing,

1.5 µm Emission Properties of Erbium‐Implanted Thin‐Film Lithium Niobate

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Optically active Er3+ ions are incorporated into x‐cut lithium niobate on insulator utilising a focused ion‐beam implantation method capable of sub‐100 nm precision. The implanted regions exhibit telecom‐band emission, with a reduction in photoluminescence intensity and lifetime below 50 K, consistent with pyroelectric‐field effects in the host ...

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.
