Energy generation in the canal irrigation network in India : a case for integrated spatial planning

There is an extensive canal irrigation network in India, consisting of thousands of kilometers of constructed channels and distributaries that divert water from rivers to farms for irrigation purposes. These canals cut across district and state boundaries, crossing many energy-poor regions along their paths.

Giant Magnetic Coercivity Driven by Spin‐Bag Ferromagnetism in Epitaxial Sr3YCo4O10+δ Films with Engineered 2D Oxygen Vacancy Ordering

A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

High Performance Durable Vanadium Dioxide Spectral Selective Modulation Smart Windows

Crystallinity‐enhanced VO2 nanoparticles with a self‐limited amorphous oxidation shell achieve an order of magnitude durability improvement and high spectral selective modulation performance (luminous transmittance of 28.5%, solar modulation of 10.5%, and mid‐infrared emissivity modulation of 0.5) for smart windows.
