Integrating factor [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 1994
Summary: The problem of integrating factor for ordinary differential equations is investigated. Conditions are given which guarantee that each solution of \(\partial_ 1 F(x,y) + y'\partial_ 2 F(x,y) = 0\) is also a solution of \(M(x,y)+ y' N(x, y)= 0\) where \(\partial_ 1 F= \mu M\) and \(\partial_ 2 F= \mu N\).

Friendship prediction model based on factor graphs integrating geographical location

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, 2020
With the development of network services and location-based systems, many mobile applications begin to use users’ geographical location to provide better services. In terms of social networks, geographical location is actively shared by users.

Darboux integrability and the inverse integrating factor

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2003
Consider planar (real or complex) polynomial vector fields \(X=P(x,y)\partial_x+Q(x,y)\partial_y\) having a Darboux first integral of the form \[ H= f_1^{\lambda_1}\cdots f_p^{\lambda_p} \left( \exp\left( {h_1}\over {g_1} \right) \right)^{\mu_1} \cdots \left( \exp\left({h_q}\over{g_q} \right) \right)^{\mu_q}, \] where \(f_i, g_i\) and \(h_i\) are ...

Analytic Methods for Solving Higher Order Ordinary Differential Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this work, an analytic approach for solving higher order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) is developed. The techniques offer analytic flexibility in many research areas such as physics, engineering, and applied sciences and are effective for ...

The Poincaré map of degenerate monodromic singularities with Puiseux inverse integrating factor

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2023
We consider analytic families of planar vector fields depending analytically on the parameters in Λ\Lambda that guarantee the existence of a (may be degenerate and with characteristic directions) monodromic singularity.

Automatic Rate and Rate-Integrating Mode-Switchable Axisymmetric Gyroscope

open access: yesSensors, 2022
This paper describes a novel rate and rate-integrating mode-switchable axisymmetric gyroscope. A precession angle tracking algorithm is developed to enable the gyro to switch automatically between rate and rate-integrating modes at preset rate points ...

On the Integrability of Quasihomogeneous Systems and Quasidegenerate Infinity Systems

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2007
The integrability of quasihomogeneous systems is considered, and the properties of the first integrals and the inverse integrating factors of such systems are shown.

The Social Justice as Factor, Integrating Migrants into Local Community

open access: yesСоциологическая наука и социальная практика, 2016
Not only has social justice retained its relevance in the eyes of modern Russians, but it has also become one of their key personal values. The general notion of social justice creates a feeling of solidarity in the community, while also fostering an ...

Piecemeal Versus Precipitous Factor Market Integration [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Economic Review, 1995
Summary: The effects of the speed of international factor markets integration are studied within a general equilibrium, two country model. It is shown that even in the absence of economic frictions there can be no theoretical presumption regarding the ``optimal'' speed of integration.

Computing Bayes Factors Using Thermodynamic Integration [PDF]

open access: yesSystematic Biology, 2006
In the Bayesian paradigm, a common method for comparing two models is to compute the Bayes factor, defined as the ratio of their respective marginal likelihoods. In recent phylogenetic works, the numerical evaluation of marginal likelihoods has often been performed using the harmonic mean estimation procedure.
