To Integrate of Not to Integrate?

Architectural Design, 2010
AbstractTurkish architecture over the last 150 years has been plagued by its preoccupation with its integration with the West. Should it be embracing or reflecting Western cultural, technical and professional standards? Uğur Tanyeli provides the background to this pessimistic context and describes how a new generation of architects over the last 10 ...

Schema integration with integrity constraints

1997
In this paper we discuss the use and treatment of integrity constraints in the federated database design process. We consider different situations occurring frequently in the schema transformation and schema integration process. Based on that, general rules are given which describe the correct treatment of integrity constraints.

The relationships between choquet integral, pan-integral, upper integral and lower integral

International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2011
Summary: Various types of integrals with respect to fuzzy measures on finite sets have been proposed in the literature [\textit{M. Grabisch}, \textit{T. Murofushi} and \textit{M. Sugeno} (eds.), Fuzzy measures and integrals. Theory and applications. Heidelberg: Physica-Verlag (2000; Zbl 0935.00014); \textit{Z. Wang, K.-S. Leung} and \textit{G. J. Klir},

Integration Integrity for Multigranular Data

2016
When data from several source schemata are to be integrated, it is essential that the resulting data in the global schema be consistent. This problem has been studied extensively for the monogranular case, in which all domains are flat. However, data involving spatial and/or temporal attributes are often represented at different levels of granularity ...
