Providing regular and frequent maps of losses and gains of farmland birds based on European monitoring data

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Knowledge of species distributions is essential for informing policies on nature conservation and restoration. However, updating them on a regular basis and doing so in a harmonized manner at the international level is difficult. The European Bird Census Council integrated national monitoring data covering 5 years to update farmland bird ...

Inverse spectral problems for first order integro-differential operators

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2017
Inverse spectral problems are studied for the first order integro-differential operators on a finite interval. Properties of spectral characteristic are established, and the uniqueness theorem is proved for this class of inverse problems.

Statistics of non-linear stochastic dynamical systems under L\'evy noises by a convolution quadrature approach

open access: yes, 2011
This paper describes a novel numerical approach to find the statistics of the non-stationary response of scalar non-linear systems excited by L\'evy white noises.

Reinforcement Learning for Jump‐Diffusions, With Financial Applications

open access: yesMathematical Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study continuous‐time reinforcement learning (RL) for stochastic control in which system dynamics are governed by jump‐diffusion processes. We formulate an entropy‐regularized exploratory control problem with stochastic policies to capture the exploration–exploitation balance essential for RL.

H\"older Regularity For Integro-Differential Equations With Nonlinear Directional Dependence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We prove H\"older regularity results for a class of nonlinear elliptic integro-differential operators with integration kernels whose ellipticity bounds are strongly directionally dependent.

Coupling Enhancement and Symmetrization in Dissipative Optomechanical Systems

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 3, March 2026.
A practical circuit‐QED scheme with dual coherent laser driving and enhanced cross‐Kerr nonlinearity is presented to achieve ultrastrong optomechanical coupling in the few‐photon regime. A symmetric optomechanical dynamical framework is further established to enable a systematic classification of different coupling regimes.

Questions on solvability of exterior boundary value problems with fractional boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
In this paper we study questions on solvability of some boundary value problems for the Laplace equation with boundary integro-differential operators in the exterior of a unit ball.

Some solution of the fractional iterative integro-differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In this article, we focus to some classes of fractional iterative integro-differential equations. Firstly, we interested of the fractional iterative integro-differential equations including derivatives and establish the existence and uniqueness solutions

Electrified rhythms: How hydropower infrastructure transforms hydrosocial relations of riverine communities in the Lower Sogamoso River, Colombia

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 8, Issue 3, Page 782-796, March 2026.
Abstract Hydropower dams regulate water flows for millions of downstream inhabitants worldwide, altering water availability. Under a changing climate, flow control is often framed technically and politically as being essential for reducing drought and flood risks. However, it can also disrupt ecological flows, impact livelihoods and erode environmental

Controllability of nonlocal second-order impulsive neutral stochastic functional integro-differential equations with delay and Poisson jumps

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2015
The current paper is concerned with the controllability of nonlocal second-order impulsive neutral stochastic functional integro-differential equations with infinite delay and Poisson jumps in Hilbert spaces.
