Distance‐Dependent Energy Transfer Between Organic Fluorophores and Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that the dsDNA part adopts a perpendicular orientation to the SWCNT and present a distance‐dependent energy transfer of single fluorescent dyes to SWCNTs. Carbon nanotube energy transfer (CNET) obeys a d−5 distance dependence with a characteristic distance of 7.4 nm (± 0.7 nm) for 50 % energy transfer.

Au42(PET)32 Nanocluster Sensitizer Unlocks the Annihilator Potential of Rubrene, Enabling High‐Performance NIR‐to‐Visible Photon Upconversion

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
A needle‐shaped gold nanocluster, Au42(PET)32, serves as a powerful triplet sensitizer, enabling rubrene to fully express its intrinsic annihilator capability (spin statistical factor f = 0.58). This sensitizer–annihilator pair achieves record‐high upconversion internal quantum yields of 21.4% (808 nm excitation) and 15.0% (936 nm excitation ...

Self‐Assembled (Aza)BODIPY Dyes for Biomedical in Vivo Imaging

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
This minireview classifies (aza)BODIPY dyes according to their molecular stacking modes and aggregate types (H‐, oblique‐, or J‐type) in aqueous media, correlating these features with their multimodal imaging performance. By linking molecular design, exciton coupling, and pathway‐dependent assembly, we provide a framework for engineering next ...
