Learning Mechanisms for Intelligent Fault Diagnosis

2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2006
Early diagnosis of plant faults / deviations is a critical factor for optimized and safe plant operation and maintenance. Although smart controllers and diagnosis systems are available and widely used in chemical plants, however, some faults couldn't be detected.

Intelligent fault diagnosis for robotic systems

11th IEEE International Conference on Control & Automation (ICCA), 2014
Robotic systems are widely used in industry. Preventive maintenance of electrical machine systems plays a very important role in the industrial life. This requires monitoring their operations on-line which can detect a fault as it occurs and diagnosing the malfunction of a faulty component. In this paper, we present a fault diagnosis method for robotic

Intelligent Fault Diagnosis of the ICATS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992
Abstract In this paper, we introduce the structure and function of the inertial component automatic test system first .And then we analyse various methods which are used to dispose the system failure by the experts of the test system in detail . A fault diagnosis system of the inertial component automatic test system is founded by using the theories .

Intelligent fault diagnosis of induction motor with stator winding fault

2015 11th International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC), 2015
In this article, a fault diagnosis method is proposed for induction motor which suffers from stator winding shorted turn fault. During fault detection, rms values of the three phase currents are calculated and two currents are subtracted from each other to form the residuals.

Intelligent Data Mining Approach for Fault Diagnosis

2008 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2008
This paper presents wavelet analysis and statistical techniques for assessing the insulation condition of power cables. A specific fault is made and placed on the terminal joint of a 25 kV power cable, and the deterioration phenomena is accelerated by the overvoltage method.

Remote intelligent fault diagnosis of analog circuit

2011 Seventh International Conference on Natural Computation, 2011
A remote intelligent fault diagnosis approach of analog circuit based on probabilistic neural network (PNN) and virtual instrument technology, called RPNN, is proposed. Firstly, PNN is used to classify the faults. Then, remote fault diagnosis is realized by virtual instrument technology. Simulation results illustrate that RPNN is feasible to soft fault

Industrial applications of the intelligent fault diagnosis system

Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001
Process monitoring and fault diagnosis have been widely studied in recent years, and a large number of industrial applications are reviewed. For further improvement of the reliability and safety of the process and the process equipment, the automatic early detection and localisation of faults is of high interest.

Intelligent fault diagnosis based on granular computing

2008 IEEE International Conference on Granular Computing, 2008
This paper presents a new approach to intelligent fault diagnosis of the machinery based on granular computing. The tolerance granularity space mode is constructed by means of the inner-class distance defined in the attributes space. Different features of the vibration signals, including time domain statistical features and frequency domain statistical

Intelligent Fault Diagnosis for Industrial Big Data

Journal of Signal Processing Systems, 2018
With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT), industrial big data can now be collected through many different sources, such as multimedia. Intelligent fault diagnosis is recognized as an important and promising approach in using these data, because it can provide accurate diagnosis and adjust to different deployed environments.

A method for intelligent fault diagnosis of rotating machinery

Digital Signal Processing, 2004
Abstract This paper presents an intelligent methodology for diagnosing incipient faults in rotating machinery. In this fault diagnosis system, wavelet transform techniques are used in combination with a function approximation model to extract fault features. Wavelet neural networks are also constructed.
