Sensor clouds for Intelligent Truck Monitoring
The paper presents a new service paradigm for Vehicle Communication Platforms (VCPs), based on the Sensor Cloud concept. According to this paradigm, VCPs make available their components, including vehicle sensor and devices, to third-party vehicle monitoring applications, as virtual resources.

Proceedings of the International Conference and Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2010
This paper explores the magic of intelligent sensors. To understand what intelligent sensors are, first we should know what a sensor is. A sensor is a device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer or by an instrument.

Intelligent sensor: Object approach
Control Engineering Practice, 1994Abstract By way of introduction, the first section of this paper is about the need of models to represent Intelligent Sensor (I.S.) concepts. Through the second section, the involved benefits brought by the use of Object Approach are discussed. The third section gives a brief description of the chosen method, the O.M.T. methodology.

2021
A new method is described for measuring an existing pressure transducer with greater potential for analysis. The new method has the potential to allow more comprehensive and early detection of sensor faults. This supports further work to develop fault tolerance, on board data quality estimation and failure prediction enabling intelligent sensors to ...

Molecular Robots with Sensors and Intelligence
Accounts of Chemical Research, 2014CONSPECTUS: What we can call a molecular robot is a set of molecular devices such as sensors, logic gates, and actuators integrated into a consistent system. The molecular robot is supposed to react autonomously to its environment by receiving molecular signals and making decisions by molecular computation.
