Inhomogeneity Effect on the Stress Intensity Factor
Journal of Composite Materials, 1987In contrast to the macromechanical analysis in which a composite material is usually taken to be homogeneous, a simplified analysis model is proposed in this article to ex amine the inhomogeneity effect on the stress intensity factor of the crack embedded in a fiber-reinforced composite material.

On the calculation of intensity in dispersive inhomogenous media in the ray approximation

Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1982Abstract The Hamilton-like equations of geometrical optics determine the rays of the relevant wavefield in the short wavelength limit. It is shown that, by appending a set of subsidiary equations, the associate intensity can be computed along each ray, as the ray itself is traced.
