Intentional Replantation of Failed Root Canal Treated Tooth
Journal of Interdisciplinary DentistryIntentional replantation (IR) should not be considered a treatment of last resort. Long-term studies have shown that the success rate of IR is somewhat similar to periapical surgery. It is indicated in failed endodontic cases.

Intentional Replantation Of A Lower Premolar
Australian Endodontic Journal, 2004Intentional replantation is the purposeful extraction of a tooth to perform extraoral endodontic treatment, curettage of apical soft tissue when present and the replacement of the tooth in its socket. This paper demonstrates the use of intentional replantation as a technique to successfully treat a case where conventional endodontic retreatment and ...

Intentional replantation of a molar with several endodontic complications
Journal of Stomatology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 2019When non-surgical and surgical endodontic retreatments are impractical, intentional replantation (IR) might be employed as an accepted endodontic treatment procedure. This report describes an IR and root amputation of a tooth with several endodontic complications. A 28-year-old woman was referred for management of tooth #37.

Single–Tooth Osteotomy for Intention Replantation
Journal of Endodontics, 2002The conventional replantation technique has many drawbacks. The tooth may break during extraction; thus, teeth with diverged or curved roots are not good candidates for such a procedure. The occurrence of root ankylosis after replantation, with subsequent resorption, does not permit the replanted tooth to support any additional load, such as an ...

Maintenance of alveolar bone by the intentional replantation of roots
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1974Abstract An approach to the problem of postextraction resorption of alveolar bone is presented. Endodontically treated roots are replanted into their sockets in an attempt to maintain the height and width of alveolar bone. Eighteen-month clinical and radiographic findings indicated that no bone had formed coronal to the roots, and many of the roots ...

Intentional Replantation of Teeth in Dogs and Monkeys
Journal of Dental Research, 1968Intentional replantation was performed using 25 incisors in three dogs and two monkeys. More extensive root resorption and bony ankylosis were observed on the 13 incisors replanted using Gelfoam as a periodontal ligament substitute. Fluorescent vital staining dye depicted the amount and time of deposition of new cementum and alveolar bone after ...

[Clinical management of the intentional tooth replantation].
Zhonghua kou qiang yi xue za zhi = Zhonghua kouqiang yixue zazhi = Chinese journal of stomatology, 2018Intentional tooth replantation is the last resort for saving natural teeth in treatment of the endodontic diseases. In order to promote the utilization, standardize the operation and improve the success rate of this treatment, this review suggests the indication, discusses the key points of the surgical procedure, proposes the path of the diagnosis and
