Inter‐rater Reliability of the HEART Score [PDF]

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, 2018
Background The HEART score is a risk stratification tool for suspected acute coronary syndrome and contains several subjective components. A single previous study found good inter-rater reliability. Our objective was to assess the inter-rater reliability of the HEART score in an external prospective cohort. Methods We prospectively collected paired,

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Test-retest, intra- and inter-rater reliability of the reactive balance test in patients with chronic ankle instability

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology
IntroductionThe Reactive Balance Test (RBT) could be a valuable addition to research on chronic ankle instability (CAI) and clinical practice, but before it can be used in clinical practice it needs to be reliable.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Reliability of a new computerized equinometer based on Silfverskiöld test to measure gastrocnemius tightness.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
BackgroundSeveral tools exist to measure tightness of the gastrocnemius muscles; however, few of them are reliable enough to be used routinely in the clinic.
