Application of Broadband Signals to Increase Interference Immunity in Channels with Inter-Symbol Interference

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract Proposals for improving the noise immunity of receiving phase-shift keying signals in the conditions of inter-symbol interference caused by fading in the channel are presented. The use of Barker sequences for the expansion of modulating information pulses has been substantiated.

Inter-Numerology Interference for Beyond 5G

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Fifth generation (5G) radio access technology (RAT) is designed to flexibly serve multiple services with extremely diverse requirements. One of the steps taken toward fulfilling this vision of 5G-RAT is the introduction of multi-numerology concept, where

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF FILTER BANK MULTI-CARRIER MODULATION IN MULTIPATH FADING CHANNELS

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Information & Communication Technology, 2021
Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC) modulation is one of the most significant enablers for future 5G technologies. It is a modulation technique for resolving inter-carrier and inter-symbol interference using two possible methods: Frequency Spreading (FS ...

Asymmetrical inter-symbol interference in macro-scale molecular communications

open access: yesProceedings of the 5th ACM International Conference on Nanoscale Computing and Communication, 2018
Molecular communication (MC) is new method of information transmission whereby information is carried by chemical signals instead of electromagnetic (EM) waves. This shift to a new type of information carrier makes MC a viable option in circumstances where EM communication might prove inefficient, e.g., in underwater and underground communications or ...

An inter user interference cancellation scheme for two users in full-duplex MIMO system

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2018
The inter-user interference is a critical performance degradation factor in a full-duplex multi-user system. However, the conventional pre-processing filters, such as null space projection filter and regularized channel inversion filter, are unsuitable ...

Low-Density Lattice Codes for Inter-Symbol Interference Channels

open access: yesJournal of Networks, 2013
Low-density lattice codes (LDLC) designed for inter-symbol interference (ISI) channels are proposed in this paper, including the node-by-node belief propagation (BP) decoding algorithm and the construction of LDLC codes for ISI channels. A theorem is presented to illustrate that the nominal coding gain of LDLC codes can be increased by introducing ISI ...

M-ary Cyclic Shift Keying Spread Spectrum Underwater Acoustic Communications Based on Virtual Time-Reversal Mirror

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Underwater acoustic communications are challenging because channels are complex, and acoustic waves when propagating in the ocean are subjected to a variety of interferences, such as noise, reflections, scattering and so on.

Interference-Free OFDM: Rethinking OFDM for Interference Networks with Inter-Symbol Interference

open access: yesCoRR, 2016
This paper considers a $K$-user single-input-single-output interference channel with inter-symbol interference (ISI), in which the channel coefficients are assumed to be linear time-invariant with finite-length impulse response. The primary finding of this paper is that, with no channel state information at a transmitter (CSIT), the sum-spectral ...
