Models and experimental results from the wide aperture Nb-Ti magnets for the LHC upgrade

open access: yes, 2014
MQXC is a Nb-Ti quadrupole designed to meet the accelerator quality requirements needed for the phase-1 LHC upgrade, now superseded by the high luminosity upgrade foreseen in 2021. The 2-m-long model magnet was tested at room temperature and 1.9 K.

Multi‐Functional ZnO–Te Heterojunction Devices Enabling Compact Frequency Quadrupler

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale ZnO–Te heterojunction devices featuring tunable double negative differential transconductance (D‐NDT) are demonstrated at ≤ 200°C. Leveraging this unique characteristic, a single‐stage frequency quadrupler is realized, achieving a 64%–75% reduction in device count.

Cross‐Layer Molecular Design for Coherent Interface Passivation in Rigid and Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A cross‐layer passivation strategy employing molecularly designed thiazol‐5‐ylmethanamine hydrochloride (TMACl) enables coherent defect regulation at the SnO2/perovskite interface, stabilizes both layers, promotes phase‐pure α‐FAPbI3 formation, and enhances charge extraction, delivering PCEs of 26.44% in rigid and 24.72% in flexible perovskite solar ...

Unlocking Photodetection Mode Switching from a Simple Lateral Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A simple lateral 2D perovskite photodetector capable of switching among transient, continuous, and dual transient/continuous photoresponse modes is achieved by integrating photoconductive effects with capacitive coupling from the SiO2/Si substrate. Such light‐programmable photodetection mode switching enables triple‐channel information transmission and

Understanding the Effects of Conductive Polymer Electrode Coating on Recorded Neural Signals

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Conductive polymer coatings are widely explored to improve the quality of signals recorded with chronically implanted neural electrodes, offering enhanced biocompatibility along with reduced electrode impedance. Combining computational modelling and data from PEDOT:PTS coated and PtIr electrodes in rats, we show that improvements in signal quality with

Grading evaluation method for inter-turn short circuit of permanent magnet traction motor based on deep Gaussian processes

open access: yes机车电传动
The inter-turn short circuit of stator winding is one of the main faults affecting the safe and stable operation of permanent magnet traction motors. Affected by operating conditions, power supply and motor body imbalance, existing methods are difficult ...

Method and apparatus for measurement of trap density and energy distribution in dielectric films [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
Trap densities in dielectric films are determined by tunnel injection measurements when the film is incorporated in an insulated-gate field effect transistor.
