Improving the consistency and reproducibility of first-trimester nasal bone assessment: a new classification in a low-risk population [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Pregnancy and Childbirth
Background The reproducibility of fetal nasal bone assessment is limited by subjective definitions of its absence (NBA). This study evaluated a new, stricter classification for NBA (complete non-visualization), aiming to improve consistency between the ...

3D view synthesis with inter-view consistency [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 21st ACM international conference on Multimedia, 2013
In this paper, we propose a new pipeline to synthesize virtual views by extrapolation. It allows us to generate virtual views far away from each other, each presenting the exact same level of quality. This inter-view consistency is key to seamlessly navigate between viewpoints. Its computational cost is also lower than that of existing approaches.

Throwers oblique rotator cuff (TORC) MRI view of the shoulder improves reader confidence for internal impingement abnormalities in overhead throwing athletes [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
The thrower’s oblique rotator cuff (TORC) view was developed to more optimally visualize the commonly injured posterosuperior rotator cuff and capsulolabral structures in overhead athletes. The purpose is to evaluate whether the addition of the TORC view

Temporal and Inter-View Consistent Error Concealment Technique for Multiview Plus Depth Video [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2016
Multiview plus depth (MVD) is an emerging video format with many applications, including 3-D television and free viewpoint television. During the broadcast of a compressed MVD video, transmission errors may cause the loss of whole frames, resulting in significant degradation of video quality.
