In this paper we investigate the effect of weak tidal interactions among galaxies in clusters. We obtain the Fokker-Planck coefficients for this process by making use of the impulse approximation. We assume that the outer regions of a galaxy are well described by isotropically distributed stellar orbits with small angular momenta.

Scale Interactions and Galaxy Evolution [PDF]
To understand galaxies and their evolution, it is necessary to describe how the different scales interact: how the microscopic physics, such as star formation, or the large scale physics, such as galaxy interactions may modify the galaxy global shapes.

Multidrug resistant Pseudomonas (P.) aeruginosa is detected in many infected wounds and is challenging to treat with antibiotics. As an alternative, this work incorporates anti‐P. aeruginosa Neko phages into electrospun fibres to explore their potential for treating infected wounds.

COSMOS-Web: The Role of Galaxy Interactions and Disk Instabilities in Producing Starbursts at z < 4
We study of the role of galaxy–galaxy interactions and disk instabilities in producing starburst activity in galaxies out to z = 4. For this, we use a sample of 387 galaxies with robust total star formation rate measurements from Herschel, gas masses ...

Study of galaxy morphology and merging time of two interacting galaxies under different initial rotation and orientation configurations [PDF]
Using the GADGET-2 N-body code, we make a study of the galaxy morphology and merging time due to two interacting galaxies (for the same types and different sizes and masses, $1:1$ and $1:10$ ratio masses) merging due to gravity interaction. This is done for different initial relative orientation and rotation of these galaxies (modes of interaction) but

Observational evidence for bar formation in disk galaxies via cluster-cluster interaction [PDF]
Bars are an elongated structure that extends from the centre of galaxies, and about one-third of disk galaxies are known to possess bars. These bars are thought to form either through a physical process inherent in galaxies, or through an external process such as galaxy-galaxy interactions. However, there are other plausible mechanisms of bar formation

Recent results comparing interacting galaxies to the mass-metallicity relation show that their nuclear oxygen abundances are unexpectedly low. We present analysis of N-body/SPH numerical simulations of equal-mass mergers that confirm the hypothesis that ...

Homochiral Self‐Sorting During Macrocycle Formation and their Chiroptical Properties
Imine condensation of C2‐symmetric chiral aldehydes with aliphatic amines results in 2 : 2 macrocycles lacking self‐sorting, whereas aromatic amines yield macrocycles with complete homochiral self‐sorting. These macrocycles exhibit unique chiroptical properties attributed to rigidification compared to the starting aldehydes.

Living with Neighbors. V. Better-aligned Spiral+Spiral Galaxy Pairs Show Stronger Star Formation
Enhanced star formation (SF) with star-forming neighboring galaxies bolsters the hydrodynamical contributions during paired interactions. Although the relative spin orientation between interacting galaxies can influence this effect, it has not been ...
