J-factors for self-interacting dark matter in 20 dwarf spheroidal galaxies [PDF]
Dwarf spheroidal galaxies are among the most promising targets for indirect dark matter (DM) searches in gamma rays.

The Hα kinematics of interacting galaxies in 12 compact groups [PDF]
We present new Fabry-Perot observations for a sample of 42 galaxies located in 12 compact groups of galaxies: HCG 1, HCG 14, HCG 25, HCG 44, HCG 53, HCG 57, HCG 61, HCG 69, HCG 93, VV 304, LGG 455 and Arp 314. From the 42 observed galaxies, a total of 26

The Larson-Tinsley Effect in the UV: Interacting vs. `Normal' Spiral Galaxies
We compare the UV-optical colors of a well-defined set of optically-selected pre-merger interacting galaxy pairs with those of normal spirals. The shorter wavelength colors show a larger dispersion for the interacting galaxies than for the spirals.

Probing the Physics of Interacting Galaxies
Both Arp 140 and Arp 104 reveal extended tidal tails in the HI. The Halpha and FIR fluxes of Arp 140 yield similar SFR of ~0.8 solar masses per year. In contrast the Halpha flux of Arp 104 yields a SFR of ~0.05 solar masses per year, ~ 20 times smaller than that obtained from the FIR flux.

This paper presents a new hydrodynamic model of interacting galaxies based on the joint solution of multicomponent hydrodynamic equations, first moments of the collisionless Boltzmann equation and the Poisson equation for gravity. Using this model, it is

Galaxy pairs in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey – VI. The orbital extent of enhanced star formation in interacting galaxies [PDF]
We use pair and environmental classifications of ~ 211,000 star-forming galaxies from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, along with a suite of merger simulations, to investigate the enhancement of star formation as a function of separation in galaxy pairs ...

The ISM in the z = 6.9 Interacting Galaxies of SPT0311-58
SPT0311-58, a system of two interacting galaxies in the Epoch of Reionization, exists in one of the rarest, most massive dark matter halos theoretically possible in that era.

The Radio Emission of Interacting Galaxies [PDF]
Gravitational interaction is a straightforward interpretation of some of the peculiar optical morphologies shown by galaxies. There have also been attempts to study the effects of a gravitational interaction on the radio continuum emission. Statistically, the central radio sources (inner 1 kpc) in interacting spiral galaxies are about three times ...

Two Candidates for Dual AGN in Dwarf-dwarf Galaxy Mergers
Dual active galactic nuclei (DAGN) are important for understanding galaxy-merger-triggered fueling of black holes and the hierarchical growth of structures.

Hidden Interaction in SBO galaxies [PDF]
Galaxies, like plants, show a large variety of grafts: an individual of some type connects physically with a neighborhood of same or different type. The effects of these interactions between galaxies have a broad range of morphologies depending, among other quantities, on the distance of the closest approach between systems and the relative size of the
