TeV Diffuse Emission From the Inner Galaxy
The TeV diffuse emission from the Galactic plane is produced by multi TeV electrons and nuclei interacting with radiation fields and ambient gas, respectively. Measurements of the TeV diffuse emission help constrain CR origin and transport properties. We

The unusual distribution of molecular gas and star formation in Arp 140 [PDF]
We investigate the atomic and molecular interstellar medium and star formation of NGC 275, the late-type spiral galaxy in Arp 140, which is interacting with NGC 274, an early-type system.

Simulated Galaxy Interactions as Probes of Merger Spectral Energy Distributions [PDF]
We present the first systematic comparison of ultraviolet-millimeter spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of observed and simulated interacting galaxies.

Probing the Physics of Interacting Galaxies
Both Arp 140 and Arp 104 reveal extended tidal tails in the HI. The Halpha and FIR fluxes of Arp 140 yield similar SFR of ~0.8 solar masses per year. In contrast the Halpha flux of Arp 104 yields a SFR of ~0.05 solar masses per year, ~ 20 times smaller than that obtained from the FIR flux.

We present ^13 CO( J = 1 → 0) observations for the EDGE-CALIFA survey, which is a mapping survey of 126 nearby galaxies at a typical spatial resolution of 1.5 kpc.

Malin 1: interacting galaxy pair?
Malin 1 is a unique, extraordinarily large low surface brightness galaxy. The structure and the origins of the galaxy are poorly understood. The reason for such a situation is an absence of detailed observational data, especially, of high-resolution ...

The Radio Emission of Interacting Galaxies [PDF]
Gravitational interaction is a straightforward interpretation of some of the peculiar optical morphologies shown by galaxies. There have also been attempts to study the effects of a gravitational interaction on the radio continuum emission. Statistically, the central radio sources (inner 1 kpc) in interacting spiral galaxies are about three times ...

The Larson-Tinsley Effect in the UV: Interacting vs. `Normal' Spiral Galaxies
We compare the UV-optical colors of a well-defined set of optically-selected pre-merger interacting galaxy pairs with those of normal spirals. The shorter wavelength colors show a larger dispersion for the interacting galaxies than for the spirals.

Galaxy interactions in IllustrisTNG-100, I: The power and limitations of visual identification [PDF]
We present a sample of 446 galaxy pairs constructed using the cosmological simulation IllustrisTNG-100 at z = 0, with M_(FoF,dm)=10¹¹−10^(13.5) M⊙. We produce ideal mock SDSS g-band images of all pairs to test the reliability of visual classification ...

Hidden Interaction in SBO galaxies [PDF]
Galaxies, like plants, show a large variety of grafts: an individual of some type connects physically with a neighborhood of same or different type. The effects of these interactions between galaxies have a broad range of morphologies depending, among other quantities, on the distance of the closest approach between systems and the relative size of the
