Probing the Physics of Interacting Galaxies
Both Arp 140 and Arp 104 reveal extended tidal tails in the HI. The Halpha and FIR fluxes of Arp 140 yield similar SFR of ~0.8 solar masses per year. In contrast the Halpha flux of Arp 104 yields a SFR of ~0.05 solar masses per year, ~ 20 times smaller than that obtained from the FIR flux.

Malin 1: interacting galaxy pair?
Malin 1 is a unique, extraordinarily large low surface brightness galaxy. The structure and the origins of the galaxy are poorly understood. The reason for such a situation is an absence of detailed observational data, especially, of high-resolution ...

The Radio Emission of Interacting Galaxies [PDF]
Gravitational interaction is a straightforward interpretation of some of the peculiar optical morphologies shown by galaxies. There have also been attempts to study the effects of a gravitational interaction on the radio continuum emission. Statistically, the central radio sources (inner 1 kpc) in interacting spiral galaxies are about three times ...

We present ^13 CO( J = 1 → 0) observations for the EDGE-CALIFA survey, which is a mapping survey of 126 nearby galaxies at a typical spatial resolution of 1.5 kpc.

THE INTERACTING GALAXY PAIR KPG 390: Hα KINEMATICS [PDF]
In this work, we present scanning Fabry–Perot (FP) Hα observations of the isolated interacting galaxy pair NGC 5278/79 obtained with the PUMA FP interferometer. We derived velocity fields and rotation curves for both galaxies.

Hidden Interaction in SBO galaxies [PDF]
Galaxies, like plants, show a large variety of grafts: an individual of some type connects physically with a neighborhood of same or different type. The effects of these interactions between galaxies have a broad range of morphologies depending, among other quantities, on the distance of the closest approach between systems and the relative size of the

Using data from the DEEP2 Galaxy Redshift Survey and HST/ACS imaging in the Extended Groth Strip, we select nearly 100 interacting galaxy systems including kinematic close pairs and morphologically identified merging galaxies.

Gas-Rich Companions of Isolated Galaxies [PDF]
We have used the VLA to search for gaseous remnants of the galaxy formation process around six extremely isolated galaxies. We found two distinct HI clouds around each of two galaxies in our sample (UGC 9762 & UGC 11124).

THE BURIED STARBURST IN THE INTERACTING GALAXY II Zw 096 AS REVEALED BY THE SPITZER SPACE TELESCOPE [PDF]
An analysis of data from the Spitzer Space Telescope, Hubble Space Telescope, Chandra X-ray Observatory, and AKARI Infrared Astronomy Satellite is presented for the z = 0.036 merging galaxy system II Zw 096 (CGCG 448-020).

Isolated Galaxies versus Interacting Pairs with MaNGA
We present preliminary results of the spectral analysis on the radial distributions of the star formation history in both, a galaxy merger and a spiral isolated galaxy observed with MaNGA.
