“Sweet Science:” A Proposal for Integral Macropolitics [PDF]

open access: yesIntegral Review, 2010
This treatise proposes the practice of becoming-responsible as a basis for integral micropolitics, defined as taking active responsibility for the well-being of the totality of living beings without exception, for the sake of that well-being alone. After

Gravitational interactions of integrable models [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1996
We couple non-linear $σ$-models to Liouville gravity, showing that integrability properties of symmetric space models still hold for the matter sector. Using similar arguments for the fermionic counterpart, namely Gross--Neveu-type models, we verify that such conclusions must also hold for them, as recently suggested.

Interaction of a finite crack with shear waves in an infinite magnetoelastic medium

open access: yesApplied and Computational Mechanics, 2021
The aim of this paper is to investigate the interaction of a finite crack with shear waves in an infinite magnetoelastic medium. Fourier integral transformation is applied to convert the boundary value problem for a homogeneous, isotropic elastic material

Numerical Study on Track–Bridge Interaction of Integral Railway Rigid-Frame Bridge

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Track–bridge interaction (TBI) is an increasingly essential consideration for the design and operation of railway bridges, especially for the innovative bridge structure systems that constantly spring up over the years.

Integration and suppression interact in binocular vision

open access: yesJournal of Vision, 2023
Contingent on stereo compatibility, two images presented dichoptically can lead to either binocular integration, thus generating stable stereopsis, or interocular suppression that induces binocular rivalry with bistable perception that alternates between the two images. The relationship between binocular integration and interocular suppression concerns

Integrable model of boundary interaction: the paperclip [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2004
We consider a model of 2D quantum field theory on a disk, whose bulk dynamics is that of a two-component free massless Bose field (X,Y), and interaction occurs at the boundary, where the boundary values (X_B, Y_B) are constrained to special curve - the ``paperclip brane''.

Determination of Stress Intensity Factors and J integral based on Digital Image Correlation

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2019
Digital image correlation (DIC) is a technique in experimental mechanics to acquire full-field measurement data of displacements and deformations from the surface of specimens or components.

FERROMAGNETICS IN MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings on Engineering Sciences, 2019
Useful tool in diagnostic radiology is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Scanning with this system can cause interaction between ferromagnetic used for creation of implants and magnetic fields of MRI. In order to determine magnetic field distribution the

Designing for children’s reflections in collaborative interaction mediated by technology: A systematic literature review

open access: yes, 2021
Reflection is an integral part of collaborative interaction. However, we know little about how to design for reflection in collaborative activities mediated by technologies.
