Development of Wetland Contextual Interactive Learning Media with Student Activity Monitoring

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi Pendidikan, 2023
The purpose of this study was to develop a web-based interactive learning multimedia for statistics material for 8th grade. The material was presented with a contextual approach so that students could connect material concepts with real-life problems to

Empowering users to control their privacy in context-aware system through interactive consent [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Context-aware systems adapt their behaviour based on the context a user is in. Since context is potentially privacy sensitive information, users should be empowered to control how much of their context they are willing to share, under what conditions and

Service oriented interactive media (SOIM) engines enabled by optimized resource sharing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In the same way as cloud computing, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Content Centric Networking (CCN) triggered a new class of software architectures fundamentally different from traditional desktop software, service oriented networking (SON) suggests a ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Interactivized: Visual Interaction for Better Decisions With Interactive Multiobjective Optimization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
In today’s data-driven world, decision makers are facing many conflicting objectives. Since there is usually no solution that optimizes all objectives simultaneously, the aim is to identify a solution with acceptable trade-offs.

Developmental approach for interactive object discovery [PDF]

open access: yesThe 2012 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), 2012
We present a visual system for a humanoid robot that supports an efficient online learning and recognition of various elements of the environment. Taking inspiration from child's perception and following the principles of developmental robotics, our algorithm does not require image databases, predefined objects nor face/skin detectors. The robot explores
