Spanish Intercomparisons for Individual Monitoring

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2001
The Spanish Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) carries out an intercomparison programme for individual monitoring every 5 years. The objective is to acquire valuable information on the performance of the dosimetry systems of the participating Spanish approved dosimetry services and to assess precision and accuracy as quality indicators of overall dosimetry ...

Intercomparison of Stratospheric Water Vapor Profiles Obtained During the Balloon Intercomparison Campaign

Journal of Atmospheric Chemistry, 1985
The Balloon Intercomparison Campaign (BIC) was set up to intercompare remote sensing measurements of a number of compounds other than water vapor; however, water vapor has strong absorption features throughout the infrared and mm wave regions of the spectrum.

An Internal Dosimetry Intercomparison Study

Health Physics, 1994
Pacific Northwest Laboratory performed a study to evaluate the consistency of internal dosimetry assessments. A total of eleven laboratories, including DOE sites and NRC licensees, participated in this intercomparison study. Participants were asked to respond to five actual exposure scenarios, previously used in a similar European study.

Nuclear Accident Dosimetry Intercomparison Studies

Health Physics, 1989
Twenty-two nuclear accident dosimetry intercomparison studies utilizing the fast-pulse Health Physics Research Reactor at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory have been conducted since 1965. These studies have provided a total of 62 different organizations a forum for discussion of criticality accident dosimetry, an opportunity to test their neutron and ...

Automatic Intercomparison of Standard Cells

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1974
A system is described whereby precise intercomparisons of standard cells are accomplished under full computer control. The results obtained indicate accuracies (one standard deviation) of ±10 nV from which the individual values of the standard cells in a maintaining group of ten cells are estimated to be accurate to ±20 nV.

EURADOS intercomparisons for individual monitoring services: Results of the 2012 whole body intercomparison

Radiation Measurements, 2014
Abstract In 2008, EURADOS (the European Radiation Dosimetry Group) started to organise a self-sustained programme of regular intercomparisons with the aims of encouraging and facilitating the participation of individual monitoring services (IMS) in intercomparisons. To date, three intercomparisons for whole body dosemeters (IC2008, IC2010 and IC2012)

Intercomparisons and Intercalibrations

2005
The institution of large-scale international cooperative research programs in the study of ocean systems has made more rigorous quality control over analytical procedures necessary. A series of intercalibration and intercomparison exercises have shown that increased care is needed in running even those determinations which have been run for years, and ...

InterComparison on Internal DOSE Assessment – ICIDOSE 2017 Analysing the intercomparison results

2019
Abstract: Internal dose assessment often requires complex processes and judgements. “Technical Recommendations for Monitoring Individuals for Occupational Intakes of Radionuclides” (TECHREC) was developed during 2014 to 2016 as a tool for internal dosimetrists.
