Heat‐to‐Electricity Conversion Using Barium Strontium Titanate Multilayer Capacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lead‐free barium strontium titanate multilayer capacitors convert waste heat into electricity via the Olsen electro‐thermodynamic cycle. These capacitors achieve an energy density of 3.7 J cm−3, comparable to the performance of lead‐based ceramics. Their high dielectric strength and broad operating temperature window below 100°C make them practical for

Origin of Enhanced Efficiency and Reduced Roll‐Off in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes Based on Pt(II) Complexes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Controlled Pt–Pt fine structure in square‐planar Pt(II) complexes governs metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MMLCT) state formation, exciton dynamics, and organic light‐emitting diode performance. Short Pt–Pt contacts in Pt(fppz)2 enable coherent metal–metal coupling, sub‐microsecond emission and an external quantum efficiency of 29%, whereas ...

Machine‐Learning‐Assisted Impedance Component Analysis Enables Standardizable Surface Protein Analysis of Extracellular Vesicles Using Engineered Nanovesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes a universally applicable framework for vesicle surface analysis by combining engineered amyloid‐β‐displaying nanovesicles with machine‐learning‐optimized impedance spectroscopy. Equivalent‐circuit modeling reveals that membrane capacitance correlates with the surface protein states, enabling label‐free quantification of vesicle ...

Controlling Self‐Doping in Conjugated Polyelectrolyte Copolymers to Vary the Threshold Voltage in OECTs

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Two series of self‐doped conjugated polyelectrolytes are synthesized from a non‐self‐dopable building block 3MEEET and a self‐dopable building‐block 3HOT−[TMA+] or 3HOT−[SO3H] enabling precise control over the degree of self‐doping, which in turn directly governs the threshold voltage (VT) in OECTs over a wide range of 700 mV.
