Fabrication of masks for evaporated interdigital electrodes

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1978
A simple method for the fabrication of interdigital evaporation masks is described. The accuracy of the electrode separation is better than 5% at a separation of 0.2 mm. A minimum electrode width of 0.1 mm can be achieved with this method.

Piezoelectric Fiber Composites with Interdigitated Electrodes

Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, 1997
Piezoelectric Fiber Composites were previously introduced as an alternative to monolithic piezoceramic wafers for structural actuation applications. This manuscript was an investigation into the improvement of piezoelectric fiber composite performance through a nonconventional electroding scheme.

Transparent Quasi-Interdigitated Electrodes for Semitransparent Perovskite Back-Contact Solar Cells

ACS Applied Energy Materials, 2018
Transparent quasi-interdigitated electrodes (t-QIDEs) were produced by replacing the opaque components of existing QIDEs with indium tin oxide (ITO). We demonstrate their application in the first semitransparent back-contact perovskite solar cell.

Electrothermal pumping with interdigitated electrodes and resistive heaters

ELECTROPHORESIS, 2015
Interdigitated electrodes are used in electrokinetic lab‐on‐a‐chip devices for dielectrophoretic trapping and characterization of suspended particles, as well as the production of field‐induced fluid flow via AC electroosomosis and electrothermal mechanisms.

Nanoscaled interdigitated titanium electrodes for impedimetric biosensing

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2000
Nanoscaled interdigitated electrodes (IDEs) are developed for the purpose of being used as miniature and sensitive affinity biosensors. Because of the ease to derivatise its surface, oxidized Ti is chosen as an electrode material on a SiO2 substrate. For proof of principle, oxidized and non-oxidized Ti IDEs are characterised in salt solutions and the ...

A capacitive biosensor based on an interdigitated electrode with nanoislands

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2014
A capacitive biosensor based on an interdigitated electrode (IDE) with nanoislands was developed for label-free detection of antigen-antibody interactions. To enable sensitive capacitive detection of protein adsorption, the nanoislands were fabricated between finger electrodes of the IDE.

Simulation of Interdigitated Electrodes (IDEs) Geometry Using COMSOL Multiphysics

International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems, 2018
Interdigitated Electrodes (IDEs) based sensor in comb-like electrodes structure is also an attractive candidate in gas sensor and biosensor applications, owing to its simple structural design. The sensitivity can be improved based on geometric parameters

Electrode Resistance Effects in Interdigital Transducers

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1974
A distributed RC circuit model is used to describe an interdigital electrode transducer (IDT) having finite conduction in the electrode stripes. The distributed circuit is described by a set of differential equations whose solutions yield the current and voltage distributions along the aperture of the IDT.

Properties of interdigital electrode arrays with different geometries

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1995
Abstract Interdigital array (IDA) microelectrodes have been fabricated by photolithographic and electron-beam lithographic techniques on silicon substrates. Thin-film noble metal electrodes have been deposited on a titanium-adhesion layer. The electrode width and space varied between 1 and 2 μm and between 300 nm and 1 μm, respectively.

A novel electrode structure compared with interdigitated electrodes as capacitive sensor

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2014
Abstract Serpentine structure is a novel electrode structure presented in this work. It consists of a combination of meandering and interdigitated electrodes in a single structure with the aim of improving the transduction sensitivity. Capacitors based on this structure, known as serpentine, have been numerically simulated, comparing their ...
