Abstract This chapter examines the growth of interest groups participating in Supreme Court nominations. From 1930 to 1970, there was relatively little mobilization, with zero groups mobilizing in many nominations. After 1970, and in particular after Robert Bork’s nomination in 1987, mobilization became routine.
