Antecedents and outcomes of work-family conflict: testing a model of the work-family interface.

Journal of Applied Psychology, 1992
A comprehensive model of the work-family interface was developed and tested. The proposed model extended prior research by explicitly distinguishing between work interfering with family and family interfering with work.

The ‘No-Interface’ Interface for Research VR

2020
In this paper we outline a paradigm that has existed in interface and interaction design for Virtual Reality (VR) since the first wave of VR in the 1980s and 90s. Focussing in particular on VR as a research tool, we argue that the field has moved away from immediate, embodied interaction towards interface paradigms adopted from desktop software and ...

Electronic interfaces

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2007
Systems designed by humans have no "intelligence" and only execute algorithms; however, they may, somehow, mimic an intelligent behaviour (smart systems). Since, at present, information management in the electrical energy domain is extremely advantageous, smart systems require, all together, sensors, actuators, and electronic interfaces.

Support and Interface Effects in Water‐Splitting Electrocatalysts

Advances in Materials, 2019
Water‐splitting electrolyzers that can convert electricity into storable hydrogen are a fascinating and scalable energy conversion technology for the utilization of renewable energies. To speed up the sluggish hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions (HER

Working with Interfaces [PDF]

open access: possible, 2015
This chapter builds upon your current understanding of object-oriented development by examining the topic of interface-based programming. Here you’ll learn how to define and implement interfaces and come to understand the benefits of building types that support multiple behaviors. Along the way, you will also examine a number of related topics, such as

Gels at interfaces

The European Physical Journal E, 2001
We discuss the adsorption of polymer gels on flat surfaces. Even in cases of complete wetting where the spreading power S is positive and where an equivalent liquid would spread, the elastic stresses due to the gel deformation upon adsorption oppose the spreading.

Tuning Selectivity of CO2 Hydrogenation Reactions at the Metal/Oxide Interface.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2017
The chemical transformation of CO2 not only mitigates the anthropogenic CO2 emission into the Earth's atmosphere but also produces carbon compounds that can be used as precursors for the production of chemicals and fuels. The activation and conversion of

Water at interfaces

Journal of Environmental Sciences, 2009
Electrolyte cations and anions in aqueous solutions are hydrogen bond breaker. We found that most of anions are strong hydrogen bond breaker whereas cations are not. Further, the electro-reduction of Mg(H2O)6(2+) to Mg(OH)2 and the growth of the Mg(OH)2 were observed on Au electrode surface at negative electrode potential.

Interfaces and Interface Conditions

2007
The volume contains articles that focus on the interface between linguistic and conceptual knowledge. The issues addressed in the volume include the preconditions of every level of the language system that are required for the transformation of linguistic information into conceptual representations.

Segregation to interfaces

International Materials Reviews, 1977
AbstractThe equilibrium segregation of dilute solutes to interfaces in solids is defined and reviewed. Experimental techniques for measuring segregation to grain boundaries, free surfaces, and interphase interfaces are outlined and their relative merits discussed.
