Morphological Interfaces

Proceedings of the 2017 CHI Conference Extended Abstracts on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2017
A close integration of human and machine has been envisioned by researchers and artists for generations, however, there has been little effort in investigating the possibility and plausibility of the idea until recent years. We seek to open a discussion on how the notion of self is plastic, and how innately we are capable of empowering and extending ...

The Prosody-Morphology Interface

1999
In many languages, word-formation is restricted by principles of prosody that organise speech into larger units such as the syllable. Written by an international team of leading linguists in the field of prosodic morphology, this 1999 book examines a range of key issues in the interaction of word-formation and prosody.

Morphology of blood-brain interfaces

Experimental Eye Research, 1977
The blood-brain barrier to the protein horseradish peroxidase (HRP, tool. wt. 40 000) is the consequence of both an obstruction to passive extracellular movement and the absence of an active transcellular migration. Although the endothelium of some cerebral arterioles can transfer protein from blood to perivascular basement membrane by means of ...

Morphology of SiSiO2 interface

Surface Science, 1980
Abstract Normal transmission electron microscopy has been carried out to study the morphology of Si-SiO 2 interface, and the following results are obtained: (1) The inclusion of Si clusters in SiO 2 film is found only if the final oxidation rate exceeds 10 A/min. Those Si clusters are considered to exist, being always buried within the Si substrate.

The morphology–syntax interface

Journal of Linguistics, 1993
This book is an extension and revision of the research programme initiated by Sadock (I985) (for introductions to the theory see Spencer, I99I: 435-44I; Carstairs-McCarthy, 1992: I48-I5I). The central concern of autolexical syntax is mismatches between structural descriptions at different levels of linguistic representation.
