Interfacial Properties of Polymeric Liquids [PDF]
We show that the variations of the surface tension of polymeric solutions gamma with the molecular weight of the sample M(n), the temperature T, and the volume fraction of monomers straight phi(b) are explained by the self-organization of the long flexible chains that are present in the immediate vicinity of the interface.

Chitosan: Gels and Interfacial Properties [PDF]
Chitosan is a unique biopolymer in the respect that it is abundant, cationic, low-toxic, non-immunogenic and biodegradable. The relative occurrence of the two monomeric building units (N-acetyl-glucosamine and d-glucosamine) is crucial to whether chitosan is predominantly an ampholyte or predominantly a polyelectrolyte at acidic pH-values.

Interfacial Properties of Pea Protein Hydrolysate: The Effect of Ionic Strength
The effect of a tryptic hydrolysis as well as the effect of ionic strength (0–0.4 M NaCl) was investigated on the oil/water interfacial properties of soluble pea protein hydrolysate (SPPH) at neutral pH and room temperature (20 ± 0.01 °C).

Insights into CO2 Foaming Behavior of Ethoxylated Amines
Switchable ethoxylated amine surfactants are readily soluble in CO2 and high-saline brines. The objective of the current work is to maximize the foamability and stability of CO2 foam at 150 °F (65 °C) through adjustments in the surfactant concentration ...

Molecular Dynamics Study of Interfacial Properties for Crude Oil with Pure and Impure CH4
Gas injection has received increasing attention as one of the key technologies to enhance oil recovery. When gas is dissolved in crude oil, it will accelerate the flow of crude oil by reducing the density, viscosity, interfacial tension (IFT), and other ...
