Decomposition into dynamic features reveals a conserved temporal structure in hand kinematics
Summary: The human hand is a unique and highly complex effector. The ability to describe hand kinematics with a small number of features suggests that complex hand movements are composed of combinations of simpler movements.

There are important similarities in molecular composition and structural organization of the interface between the vitreous and retina and that between the retina and retinal pigment epithelium. It is striking that the two most common causes of severe vision loss in the western world involve neovascularization at these interfaces; i.e., proliferative ...

We provide a theoretical framework to analyze the properties of frontal collisions of two growing interfaces considering different short range interactions between them. Due to their roughness, the collision events spread in time and form rough domain boundaries, which defines collision interfaces in time and space.

The Effect of Adding Nickel Element on Mechanical and Wear Properties of SiCp-Cu Composites [PDF]
Reinforced composites are prepared from a Copper as a matrix with SiCpowder in different percentage ( i.e 5-25 vol.%) .For each prepared reinforcedcomposite with respect to SiC addition , they divided into two parts , one undergo toaddition of Ni in ...

Detailed Parametric Modeling of AC–DC Converters for EMT Simulators
Detailed switching models of ac–dc converters are available in many offline and real-time electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation programs. However, such discrete models typically require small simulation time steps for accurately handling the ...

Les équations macroscopiques de bilan des interfaces fluides ont été établies en considérant deux échelles de longueur et moyennant quelques approximations, telles que la conservation du vecteur vitesse mixte V et du gradient parallèle // à la traversée de la zone interfaciale.
