Virus-derived DNA drives mosquito vector tolerance to arboviral infection
Mosquitoes tolerate long-lasting viral infections, which makes them efficient vectors for human viral diseases. Here, the authors show that the tolerance of Aedesmosquitoes to infection with dengue or chikungunya viruses depends on the production of ...

Retrospective Interference Alignment for the MIMO Interference Broadcast Channel [PDF]
The degrees of freedom (DoF) of the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Interference Broadcast Channel (IBC) with 2 cells and 2 users per cell are investigated when only delayed channel state information is available at the transmitter side (delayed ...

DARK MATTER INTERFERENCE [PDF]
We study different patterns of interference in WIMP-nuclei elastic scattering that can accommodate the DAMA and CoGeNT experiments via an isospin violating ratio fn/fp = -0.71. We study interference between the following pairs of mediators: Z and Z′, Z′ and Higgs, and two Higgs fields. We show under what conditions interference works.

Capacity Region of Vector Gaussian Interference Channels with Generally Strong Interference
An interference channel is said to have strong interference if for all input distributions, the receivers can fully decode the interference. This definition of strong interference applies to discrete memoryless, scalar and vector Gaussian interference ...

Optimal resource allocation in femtocell networks based on Markov modeling of interferers' activity [PDF]
Femtocell networks offer a series of advantages with respect to conventional cellular networks. However, a potential massive deployment of femto-access points (FAPs) poses a big challenge in terms of interference management, which requires proper radio ...

Capacity Regions and Sum-Rate Capacities of Vector Gaussian Interference Channels
The capacity regions of vector, or multiple-input multiple-output, Gaussian interference channels are established for very strong interference and aligned strong interference. Furthermore, the sum-rate capacities are established for Z interference, noisy

What is the interference in “verbal interference”?
Research on the interrelation between language and other components of cognition makes frequent use of verbal interference paradigms. In this, participants are engaged in a primary nonverbal task, while simultaneously repeating non-sense syllables from memory or playback to occupy their articulatory buffer, which is assumed to block internal language ...

microRNA Therapeutics in Cancer — An Emerging Concept
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are an evolutionarily conserved class of small, regulatory non-coding RNAs that negatively regulate protein coding gene and other non-coding transcripts expression.

Recent works on MIMO interference channels have shown that interference alignment can significantly increase the achievable degrees of freedom (DoF) of the network. However, most of these works have assumed a fully connected interference graph.
