Performance on ICI Self-Cancellation in FFT-OFDM and DCT-OFDM System

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2015
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, the existence of frequency offset in AWGN channel affects the orthogonality among the subcarriers and consequently introduces the intercarrier interference (ICI). The paper investigates new ICI

The Necessity of Dynamic Workflow Managers for Advancing Self‐Driving Labs and Optimizers

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We assess the maturity and integration readiness of key methodologies for Materials Acceleration Platforms, highlighting the need for dynamic workflow managers. Demonstrating this, we integrate PerQueue into a color‐mixing robot, showing how flexible orchestration improves coordination and optimization.

Performance Limitations Analysis of Imperfect Attenuators for Adaptive Self-Interference Cancellation System [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
Radio frequency (RF) adaptive self-interference cancellation system (RFAICS) is extensively used to suppress the self-interference of radios operating in the same platform, such as military command vehicles, airplanes and navy vessels.

Accelerating Biosensor Discovery: A Computationally‐Driven Pipeline for Microplastics Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A computationally guided pipeline unites molecular simulation, synthetic biology, electrochemical engineering, and machine learning to accelerate biosensor discovery. A Bacillus anthracis carbohydrate‐binding module is used to develop a high‐performance micro‐ and nanoplastics sensor with greatly reduced error and variability.

CSAKD: Determining Absolute Ligand Affinities From 19F NMR Chemical Shift Anisotropy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Affinity determination is crucial in drug discovery, yet remains difficult for weakly binding fragments. We introduce chemical shift anisotropy KD$K_{\text{D}}$ (CSAKD) by 19F$^{19}{\rm F}$ NMR relaxation experiments, a titration‐free method that requires no isotopic labeling.

“It Is Much Safer to Be Sparse than Connected”: Safe Control of Robotic Swarm Density Dynamics with PDE Optimization with State Constraints

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a novel control framework to ensure safety of a robotic swarm. A feedback optimization controller is capable of driving the swarm toward a target density while keeping risk‐zone exposure below a safety threshold. Theory and experiments show how safety is more effectively achieved for sparsely connected swarms.

A New Design Criterion of Radio Frequency Front-End Gain for Interference Cancellation Performance in Communication Systems

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society
Adaptive interference cancellation is an effective means to fulfill the anti-interference requirements of communication systems. The radio frequency (RF) front-end gain plays a crucial role since it determines the communication sensitivity and anti ...
