Topological Interference Management Through Index Coding [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2014
This work studies linear interference networks, both wired and wireless, with no channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT) except a coarse knowledge of the end-to-end one-hop topology of the network that only allows a distinction between weak (zero) and significant (non-zero) channels and no further knowledge of the channel coefficients ...

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Comparison of Spectral Efficiency Techniques in Device-to-Device Communication for 5G

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Future generation networks will accommodate a large amount of data traffic and lower latency. In order to meet these demands, it is essential to look over current spectral use or introduce new frequency bands. Introduction of new frequency bands requires

Indoor Massive MIMO Deployments for Uniformly High Wireless Capacity

open access: yes, 2017
Providing consistently high wireless capacity is becoming increasingly important to support the applications required by future digital enterprises. In this paper, we propose Eigen-direction-aware ZF (EDA-ZF) with partial coordination among base stations

Fleet Management Module Electromagnetic Interference Investigation

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2013
Experimental investigation of electromagnetic interference created by transport fleet management module is presented. Novel conducted interference evaluation technique has been rectified from CISPR 25 standard which was adapted to limited abilities for electromagnetic compatibility pre-compliance estimation.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Fundamental Limits of Spectrum Sharing Full-Duplex Multicell Networks

open access: yes, 2016
This paper studies the degrees of freedom of full-duplex multicell networks that share the spectrum among multiple cells in a non-orthogonal setting. In the considered network, we assume that {\em full-duplex} base stations with multiple transmit and ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Millimeter Wave Ad Hoc Networks: Noise-limited or Interference-limited?

open access: yes, 2015
In millimeter wave (mmWave) communication systems, narrow beam operations overcome severe channel attenuations, reduce multiuser interference, and thus introduce the new concept of noise-limited mmWave wireless networks.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.
