Low dispersion integrated michelson interferometer on silicon on insulator for optical coherence tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present an integrated silicon Michelson interferometer for OCT fabricated with wafer scale deep UV lithography. Silicon waveguides of the interferometer are designed with GVD less than 50 ps/nm. km. The footprint of the device is 0.5 mm x 3 mm.

Phase estimation by photon counting measurements in the output of a linear Mach Zehnder (MZI) interferometer

open access: yes, 2012
Photon counting measurements are analyzed for obtaining a classical phase parameter in linear Mach Zehnder interferometer (MZI), by the use of phase estimation theories.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Fabrication and Characterization of Seawater Temperature Sensor with Self-Calibration Based on Optical Microfiber Coupler Interferometer

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In this paper, a novel high-sensitivity temperature sensor with two sensing regions based on optical microfiber coupler interferometer (OMCI) for ocean application is proposed. The OMCI sensor is constructed by connecting Faraday mirrors to the two ports

Interferometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
A high resolution interferometer is described. The interferometer is insensitive to slight misalignment of its elements, avoids channeling in the spectrum, generates a maximum equal path fringe contrast, produces an even two sided interferogram without ...

Fidelity of Quantum Interferometers

open access: yes, 2006
For a generic interferometer, the conditional probability density distribution, $p(\phi|m)$, for the phase $\phi$ given measurement outcome $m$, will generally have multiple peaks.
