Correlative methods for dual-species quantum tests of the weak equivalence principle

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
Matter-wave interferometers utilizing different isotopes or chemical elements intrinsically have different sensitivities, and the analysis tools available until now are insufficient for accurately estimating the atomic phase difference under many ...

On the Impact of Mechanical Constraint on Band Structure and Photo‐Elastic Effect in Photonic Resonators

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
We computationally investigate the mechanical, electronic, and optical properties of strained GeSn microdisks on silicon substrates. By combining photo‐elasticity, strain‐dependent band‐structure calculations, and optical mode analysis, we study how strain distribution, structural configuration, and temperature affect the electronic band structure and ...

Grover–Sagnac interferometer

open access: yesJournal of the Optical Society of America A
We demonstrate a nontraditional design of the Sagnac interferometer by replacing the commonly used beam splitter with a linear-optical Grover multiport. This substitution creates a pole at the origin of the device parameter space, with an associated resonance in the output intensity.
