Coherent stacking of SAR images for efficient interferometric processing [PDF]

open access: yes2011 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2011
Large datasets of satellite SAR missions dedicated to deformation monitoring will require intensive and dedicated interferometric processing techniques. Decorrelation effects will prevent simple processing approaches, but optimal algorithms are computationally intensive.

Improving Digital Mapping of Soil Organic Carbon and Total Nitrogen Through Integration of Sentinel‐1 Backscatter, InSAR Coherence, and Sentinel‐3 OLCI/SLSTR Observations

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The potential of optical satellites for the spatial prediction of soil organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (STN) has long been recognized. Owing to their balanced spatial–temporal resolution, multisource observational capabilities, and unprecedented availability of free data, Sentinel satellites offer unique opportunities for mapping soil ...

Coherence Matrix Estimation With Total Positivity Regularization for Interferometric Phase Linking

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Interferometric phase linking has become a critical step in distributed scatterer interferometry, yet its performance is significantly affected by inaccuracies in the coherence matrix and its inverse, such as the precision matrix.

Toward Highest Frequency, Phase‐Sensitive Electric Field Sensing Enabled by Plasmonic Circuits

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
An electromagnetic field sensor using an optical sensor head for distortion‐free, high‐sensitivity measurements with potential for high‐frequency operation is presented. The frequency response is enabled by an antenna‐integrated plasmonic modulator. The sensitivity is calculated, and optimizations to obtain thermal‐background‐limited sensitivity are ...

Three‐Dimensional Optical Characterization of Magnetostrictive Deformation in Magnomechanical Systems

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
An optical approach is proposed for real‐time and high‐precision detection of the magnetostrictive deformation of an yttrium‐iron‐garnet sphere in three dimensions, based on the deformation induced spatial high‐order modes of the scattered field, postselection, and balanced homodyne detection.

Optical‐to‐Microcomb Stability Transfer for Ultrastable Timing and Microwave/Millimeter‐Wave Generation

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a high‐fidelity stability transfer from an optical reference to a high‐repetition‐rate microcomb using a mode‐locked laser bridge. By employing electro‐optic sampling timing detection, femtosecond‐level synchronization and 10−18‐level fractional frequency stability are achieved.

Optimal algorithm for distributed scatterer InSAR phase estimation based on cross-correlation complex coherence matrix

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation
Low scattering terrain areas introduce complex phase interference, which reduces the accuracy of deformation signal estimation in InSAR(Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) techniques. Existing covariance matrix-based InSAR phase calculation methods
